Parents are an integral part of our school community, and we encourage all parents to be involved in the life of our school.

The Parent Involvement Program (PIP) gives parents the opportunity to enjoy a hands-on role in the education of their children. It also helps our school to maintain its high standards and provides opportunities for community engagement.

How does it work?

Each family with students from Kindergarten to Year 12 is asked to contribute up to 24 hours per year to the life of the school. These hours can be completed by either parent and can be done at any time throughout the school year. Once you've completed your PIP hours for the year, complete the form and submit it to the Office. Once this form is processed, a credit of $210 for each 6 hours of PIP will be applied to your fee account, up to a maximum of $840 for 24 hours for the year.

Before you start PIP

Before you commence your PIP hours, we require all parents to complete an annual form.

What are some examples of PIP opportunities?

There are so many ways to accumulate PIP hours. Some examples include helping at sport carnivals or gala days, canteen, exam supervision, reading groups, Cafe Covie, costume sewing, washing at home, school events and camps.

How do I find out about PIP opportunities?

Opportunities are regularly advertised in the weekly newsletter, and are included in excursion and event letters sent to parents. Class teachers and some faculties (e.g. PDHPE) may contact parents directly when specific assistance is required. You can also email your interest to the appropriate contact below.

PIP Declaration of Hours form

Only one form per family needs to be submitted each year. You can submit your form at any time during the year when you have completed your PIP hours. If you know you have PIP hours to claim and will submit the form later in the year, please feel free to pay your term school fees less the PIP credit still to be allocated to your account.

FAQs

  • Can you carry PIP hours over to the next calendar year? No, you can only accumulate 24 hours per family per year and any further hours cannot be carried over.
  • Can you submit the form if only some of the PIP hours are completed? Yes absolutely. A credit of $210 for each 6 hours of PIP can be applied to your fee account. We only credit in 6-hourly increments, i.e. 6 hours, 12 hours, 18 hours or 24 hours.
